Stranded trawlerman airlifted off stricken fishing boat in Argentina

This is the heroic moment a stranded trawlerman was winched to safety from a fishing boat by a helicopter more than 100 miles from the nearest harbour.

The rescue operation took place at sea, over 160 kilometres (100 miles) from Viedma, an Argentine city near the coast and the capital of Rio Negro Province, in northern Patagonia, the Argentine Naval Prefecture said in a statement on Monday, August 22.
