Philippine Air Force welcomes first female fighter pilot on Women's Month

A Filipina made history on the last day of Women's Month when she joined the Philippine Air Force (PAF) as its first female fighter jet pilot.

Hailing from the southern province of Cotabato, 1st Lieutenant Jul Laiza Mae Camposano-Beran qualified to join the country's elite jet fighter force on Thursday, March 31, after completing more than 150 hours operating the SIAI-Marchetti AS-211 light jet combat aircraft.
