Police hunt thieves who cut elephant tails to steal hair for jewellery

Police are hunting thieves who cut hair from elephants' tails to use for jewellery in Thailand.

Staff at the Mae-sa Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai province filed a report on February 5 after discovering that two of their elephants - four-year-old Pangfahrung and 22-year-old Seedorpanpetch - were missing some 50 strands of hair from their tails.
