This is the moment a mobile phone battery exploded in a customer's hands in a repair shop in China.

The man had visited the shop in Deyang City in Sichuan province on January 6 to have the battery repaired. Upon seeing it bulging from the socket, the clerk reportedly told him to replace it instead as it was in danger of exploding.
