Alleged people smugglers publicly shamed 'for bringing Covid-positive immigrant into China'

Four men accused of illegally smuggling people into China, including a Covid-positive immigrant, were publicly shamed by police for allegedly violating pandemic restrictions.

The alleged smugglers wore hazmat suits and placards bearing their identities while being paraded in front of the public in Jingxi City in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on December 29. Each of them was flanked by guards who were also wearing protective equipment.
