Typhoon Lionrock brought strong winds and heavy rains as it approached China's southern coast on Friday morning.

Footage shows an intense downpour lashing Shenzhen City in Guangdong province on October 8. A local was filmed struggling to hold onto his umbrella while intense gusts blew through the area.
