A major thoroughfare in Queens was flooded as the tale-end of Hurricane Ida pummeled New York City and prompted a 'flash flood emergency' on September 2.
Footage shows traffic building up at an intersection on Queens Boulevard and Broadway late Wednesday due to heavy flooding. The water rendered the road impassable, stalling vehicles and forcing cars to turn back. A portion of the intersection had been cordoned off, preventing motorists from driving through.
