Locals celebrate Taliban victory in Kandahar

Hundreds of locals took to the streets in Afghanistan to celebrate the Taliban's victory after the departure of U.S. forces from the country on August 30.

Footage shows the crowd waving the white Taliban flag and gathering at an intersection near a plaza in Kandahar City on August 31. Heavy traffic built up in the city, which is considered the birthplace of the Taliban movement as founder Mullah Omar was born there.
