Supermarket shelves were emptied as new Covid-19 infections continue to rise in China.
Footage shows shelves of meat and vegetables left bare after residents started panic-buying in Chengdu on July 28. Grocery supplies were also cleared out in Wuhan, the original epicenter of the pandemic, where localised lockdowns were enforced on August 2.
