Huge crowds of unvaccinated residents tussled for their first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine in the Philippines a day before a scheduled metro-wide lockdown in the country's capital.

Gerald Evalla, who had also registered for a vaccine shot, recorded throngs of people shoving each other as they swarmed a hospital in Las Pinas City on August 5.
