The rally - one of many similar shows of support around the world - came as Israeli military chiefs launched strong air raids on the region, killing at least 42 Palestinians, wounding dozens more, and destroying at least three residential buildings. It was the deadliest day since violence erupted in the region last week and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the attacks would continue.
