A woman discovered the potential danger of ordinary hair clips firsthand when the one she was wearing became lodged in her scalp during a car accident and needed firefighters' help to remove it.

Phone footage shows the woman, who was not identified, lying on a hospital bed in Yiwu, in Zhejiang Province, China, where she had been admitted following the crash.
