Sixteen protesters arrested at rally against Japanese release of Fukushima radioactive water
Published date: Thu, 24 Aug 2023 14:27:33 +0700Sixteen protesters were arrested today outside the Japanese Embassy in South Korea amid anger over plans to release water contaminated with radioactive material from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant into the ocean.
The demonstrators gathered outside the diplomatic outpost in Seoul where they tried to force their way into the embassy building but were stopped by police.
