Diligent firefighters carried a grandmother down rough terrain after landslides blocked roads in China.

The rescue team trudged down treacherous slopes and crossed cracked roads while carrying the injured pensioner, 80, across Luding County in Sichuan province on September 6. They had to travel on foot as the disaster rendered roads to the woman's home impassable.
