Foreigners flout pandemic rules by walking their dog in Shanghai, China amid Covid-19 lockdown

A pair of foreigners sparked outrage among locals after they reportedly walked their dog in defiance of pandemic restrictions in locked-down Shanghai, China.

The foreign man claimed to be a diplomat and had gone outside with his wife on April 6 to walk their dog despite a directive banning residents from leaving their homes. Volunteers tried to persuade him to return home, but had to call the police when he insisted on staying outside.
