A boisterous crowd dressed in pink erupted into song during an election rally for incumbent Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo, who is taking on the controversial son of the country’s former dictator in the upcoming elections.
Robredo's supporters swarmed the open field of a campus in Caloocan City on March 26, bursting into a Bruno Mars song and waving their pink flags, fans, and balloons as they waited for the program to start. Local bands and musicians, many of whom volunteered to perform pro bono, entertained the estimated 37,000-strong crowd.
