World's largest plane Antonov AN-225 seen burning amid Russian invasion of Ukraine

Footage appears to the world's largest plane, the Antonov AN-225 Mriya, after it was destroyed by Russian troops as they swept into Ukraine.

The iconic cargo jet was stored at Hostomel Airport in the Kyiv Oblast, where fierce fighting broke out when Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a full-scale assault on Ukraine on February 24. Russian forces said they had taken over the airfield.
