Plane makes emergency landing after 'battery explodes causing fire in the hold' in China

Terrified passengers used the inflatable emergency slides and ran from the plane after a suspected fire in the hold caused an emergency landing in China today.

Flight AQ1305, operated by Chinese low-cost airliner 9 Air, was en route to Yichang, Hubei, from Guangzhou, Guangdong, when a fire alarm in its cargo hold was set off mid-flight.
